What is Bio-Remediation?

Bioremediation is the process of using micro-organisms to digest harmful contaminants and turn them into non-toxic compounds.

These micro-organisms can be used to remedy a number of types of pollution such as oil spills, municipal and industrial wastewater problems, and pollution caused by agricultural operations.

Bioremediation… Safe and Effective

Bioremediation is very safe because it relies on microbes that naturally occur in soil. These microbes are helpful and pose no threat to people at the site or community.

Often bioremediation does not require as much equipment or labor as most other methods. Therefore, it is usually considerably cheaper and easier to apply.

Benefits of Bioremediation

By supplying higher concentrations of the specific strains of bacteria that enhance the same bio-degradation process that occurs in nature, we receive several benefits, including:

  • Speeding up the natural clean-up process.
  • Lower costs than other methods.
  • Requiring less labor than other methods.
  • Requiring less equipment compared to other methods.
  • Treating the contamination in place, saving large quantities of soil, sediment or water from being dug up or pumped out of the ground for treatment.
The Power of Nature

Nature has the incredible ability to heal itself, but it often takes a great deal of time for things to return to normal after the environment has been disrupted. By introducing high concentrations of microbes within the contaminated area we can help to speed up the natural healing process.

Healthy biological populations are developed and sustained by a proper balance of biological activity and the right types of nutrients.

EC Environmental has developed a three component formulation that combines select bacterial strains with bio-enhancers and quality micronutrients. Our system is able to achieve rapid establishment in the biomass and perform to a higher standard than other products lacking in the added nutrients.

Our formula is composed of:

Bacterial Formulation
Bio-Enhancers
Micronutrients

Tested and Proven Results

Research biologists have long known the importance of micronutrients, such as trace minerals, amino acids and vitamins, in the growth and reproduction of healthy cells. Much of this work was pioneered in the agricultural industries of poultry, cattle and pig farming. Under controlled conditions, researchers have been able to develop formulations that provide an optimum micronutrient balance to ensure rapid and healthy growth.
